Having a plan in advance acan help reduce the anxiety of being surrounded by food you can't eat. It also helps you to be honest with yourself about your triggers and cravings.
STAY MOTIVATED
Stay motivated by gathering as much as information as you can about your newly chosen life-style. The more you know about the reasons behind being a vegan, the easier it will be to stay motivated and to keep going. You will have plenty of reasons, both logical and emotional. Whether you're concerned about your health or the environment, or animals. All the arrows point in the same direction, as long as you take the time to study and educate yourself.
GATHER RESOURCES
Gather resources. If you're the only vegan in the room, try to find other vegans to talk to so that you don't feel alone. Read articles, listen to podcasts, watch videos, and gather as much information as you can. The more you know, the better equipped you are to respond when the time comes.
SET BOUNDARIES
Don't be afraid to set boundaries and take care of yourself. If you're the only vegan in the room, you might feel like you have to sacrifice yourself to make others feel comfortable. While it's always a good idea to consider the needs of others, you don't have to be a martyr. You can make it clear that you don't want to eat animal products and ask people to respect your wishes.

It is not your job to defend your choices to others, but it is your job to be honest with yourself. If you're surrounded by people who don't understand what you're doing, the best thing you can do is stay calm.
REMEMBER A SIMPLE RULE
You may think to yourself what difference does it make if no-one else is conscious about their food choices. Remember a simple rule that by becoming your best version, you attract people and make them curious about your life-style. The most effective way to turn your family and friends vegan is to never lecture them about your diet, but rather to be the best version of yourself. Once they see this and it sparks their curiosity, you then have a real chance at converting them, without ever asking them to do so directly.
